if you only knew
She’s standing at the edge, waiting for the right time to slip. She no longer wants to look back at what she’s left behind. She wants to slip away from every thing around her. It’s not the heart that hurts anymore. It’s the empty place inside that’s hurting and it makes the heart displaced.
Sometimes when we draw the line, people remain where they belong…she thought to herself. All these memories she wants to get rid of desperately and yet, they are somewhat consoling.
Slip away now….slip far away.
Maybe she forgot to tell me.
Maybe she will let me know what’s going on sometime.
Maybe she’s done with me.
Maybe all she needs is time.
Maybe she’s tired and needs space.
Maybe she forgot mine.
Maybe she’s gone, for good.
He lies in bed and his mind starts wandering. He looks at the pillow beside him and imagined what it could have been if only. He blocks it out of his head. Why bother, he thinks to himself. It shouldn’t be bothering him at all.
It’s that time of the night, when his head gets louder.
Sleep away now…
Why is that true? The head does always get loudest when you try to sleep. I have noticed that myself.
